Frequently Asked Questions

Does my business really need a Web site?

In the modern connected world, having a Web site can greatly increase the exposure of your business and help to increase your profits. Your Web site runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and provides information, services, and products to potential clients in an interactive way that no other medium can offer.

When you have a Web site established, but a competitor does not, it can give you a big edge and differentiate yourself.

Why should I use your professional services instead of just using a site building tool to create a simple site myself?

It is critical that your business is perceived as professional, credible, and better than your competition. Using a do-it-yourself approach often results in a Web site that creates a negative reaction when users interact with it compared to a professionally created site. First impressions are very important, and you want to attract new clients, not turn them off.

These kinds of Web sites tend to be not as visually appealing, have more errors, and do not consider the hidden issues that only a professional Web site designer and developer would know about. This includes such issues as having the site display correctly in different browsers, having people find your site on the internet, Web site performance, and efficiency.

In addition, we can develop custom programming on the server to do numerous tasks that would not be possible when trying to create a small site by yourself.

I am located far away from Energize My PC, can you still develop a site for me?

As a result of the wonders of the Internet, we can work on your site from any location. Utilizing email, test locations on the internet, and phone calls, we can develop a great site for you completely remotely. Many of our sites are created this way.

How long does it take to create a new Web site?

This can vary greatly depending on the complexity of the site. It could take anywhere from a week for the most basic sites to several months for those requiring special needs and lots of custom programming. It is best to discuss with us your Web site requirements so we can more accurately come up with an estimate for you.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal.

Will your Web sites work in the major browsers, such as IE6, IE7, Safari, and Firefox?

Yes. We strive to maintain a high degree of compatibility across different browsers, and this is not an easy task.

My current Web site is showing its age, can you upgrade the site to make it more attractive and easy-to-use?

Yes. We can take an existing site and upgrade or rewrite some or all of the site to take it to the next level. Your users will greatly appreciate the sharp new look and enhancements.

Do I need to describe how the Web site should look, or can you develop a custom, unique site for me on your own instead?

Both ways are fine. If you have an idea of how you want your Web site to look, we can develop the site in that manner. However, if you are not sure of the appearance of your site, we can come up with our own creative ideas for you.

Once the Web site is complete, how supportive are you in fixing bugs and making additional changes in the future?

We stand behind the quality of our work. If you let us know about any bugs or issues with your site caused by the original code we wrote, we will take care of it free of charge for up to one year.

However, if you require modifications or additions to your site beyond the original requirements, those changes will need to be part of a new paid maintenance task.

What will it cost to have you develop an excellent Web site for my business?

Some large corporate Web site companies charge $5,000, $10,000 or more for even relatively simple sites. We only charge a fraction of that since we are able to keep our overhead lower.

Since each site we create is custom made, it is best to contact us to discuss your requirements and then we can provide you with a free estimate. You have nothing to lose.
